Position Overview:

The Director of Business Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Order & Co. This person acts as the primary point of contact between the Owner and the team, ensuring projects run smoothly, employees are supported, and clients receive the elevated experience that defines our brand.

The Director of Business Operations provides vision, leadership, and structure to ensure seamless execution, while freeing the Owner to focus on strategy, client relationships, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Owner and the operations team, communicating priorities and ensuring alignment.

  • Manage and mentor Project Managers and Assistants, setting expectations and providing feedback.

  • Oversee all ongoing projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

  • Develop and refine company processes, systems, and SOPs to create efficiency and consistency.

  • Co-lead weekly operations meetings, track performance metrics, and prepare updates for the Owner.

  • Handle employee scheduling, assignments, and workload distribution.

  • Resolve on-the-job issues, client concerns, and team challenges quickly and effectively.

  • Monitor inventory, equipment, and vendor relationships at a high level.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for operations staff.

  • Uphold company culture, professionalism, and ethics across all projects.

  • Step in to assist with major projects, client escalations, or operational bottlenecks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business operations, team leadership, or project management (5+ years preferred).

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to inspire and manage a diverse team.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.

  • Problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, service-driven environments.

  • Strong communicator, confident in written, verbal, and digital communication.

  • Experience developing systems, workflows, and processes for growing businesses.

  • Comfortable balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution when needed.

  • Familiarity with logistics, moving services, or home services industries a plus.

Requirements:

  • Part time position, availability from 9 am - 3 pm, with flexibility for client-driven or project-based needs.

  • Ability to travel to job sites across the greater Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville area.

  • Must represent Order & Co. with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
